Sports & Recreation Facilities

There are a number of sports clubs and associations in the Parish and there is a sports ground behind Minchinhampton Youth Centre on Tobacconist Road.

Local clubs exist for: cricket, football, golf, rugby, running*, tennis; in nearby Nailsworth, there are also clubs for table tennis, horse riding, badminton, bowls, boules, with a gym at Forest Green football complex. Beaudesert School provides opportunities for swimming out of school hours.

There are no designated Country Parks within the parish, but Minchinhampton parish is very fortunate in being surrounded by several hundred acres of common land open to the public, known as Minchinhampton Common, owned and maintained by the National Trust.
