Cllr Martin Quantock
Martin and his wife, Ruth, have lived in Minchinhampton since 2010. Martin settled here after working around the country with WH Smith in retail branch management and then, later, in town centre management. Whilst working as town centre manager in Cheltenham, Martin was also honoured to be made President of both the Cheltenham and the Gloucestershire Chambers of Commerce. Since retirement from full time employment, he presently carries out voluntary work at Woodchester Mansion.
Martin is interested in ensuring the attractiveness of Minchinhampton is protected and preserved for both residents and visitors. He is particularly interested in ensuring the businesses, attractions and amenities in the town centre are protected and supported and that any proposed housing development is not to the detriment of the town and it's residents.
Cllr Quantock sits on the Communications working group and is the Council representative for Minch Life.
